ELF Cosmetics have a few different primers but I purchased their green tone adjusting primer as I have a bit of redness on my face and I like to use products that say it can help with this.
Here are the details about this product from the back of the package:
“This multi-purpose primer preps your skin and fills in fine lines so makeup goes on evenly for a long lasting matte finish. Ingredients help neutralize redness from rosacea, blemishes and dry skin.”
The primer is silicone based. It has a pump, which I love, as I wish they had a pump on all primers and foundations. I only use one pump of this product, as you can see in the picture below, as this amount is enough for all over. It feels some what like a gel gliding over my face. The instant result was my skin was so soft and smooth to the touch. I didn’t notice much of a difference to my redness though on my face. I applied my foundation (I’ve been wearing Benefit Oxygen Wow lately again) and it honestly made my foundation look so good, as I find some other primers I tried with this foundation didn’t suit it. My makeup still looked great after a full day of work, so this primer really did the job for me.
So my final verdict…. It’s a yes from me. Although it didn’t get rid of my redness, the E.L.F Cosmetics primer was great to work with, easy to blend in and had my foundation looking great all day. This was only €10.75 in McGorisks pharmacy in Athlone Town Center and I will definetly be purchasing again.
