When I was pregnant in 2016, my skin turned from oily to dry & my Estee Lauder Double Wear wasn’t sitting on my face right anymore. I needed a new foundation and heard so much about Nars Sheer Glow. I purchased 2 shades, Mont blanc for fair skin & Barcelona for when I have tan on.
“What it does:
Sheer Glow Foundation enhances, without masking, your overall natural complexion. Powered by the NARS Complexion Brightening Formula, this lightweight, buildable formula delivers a range of effects while evening the complexion and improving skin’s texture and brightness. Powerful antioxidants protect against damaging free radicals, while glycerin, known as one of the most effective and well known humectants, attracts and holds moisture. A vitamin C derivative helps to brighten skin and diminish the look of discoloration. Tumeric extract, a plant of the ginger family, improves skin radiance and evens the skintone.”
This foundation is unbelievable. It made my skin hydrated, left a beautiful dewy finish & evened out my skin tone. It says that the foundation is buildable, but I only ever get up to a medium coverage. It’s a good mix between a creamy & watery texture and I use a duo fibre brush to apply. I have a bit of redness on my face & it definitely covers the majority of it, the bit of redness left really isn’t that noticeable, as this foundation hides it well. I always use a primer with all my foundation’s & it has definitely lasted at least 12 hours before I noticed it starting to fade.
I absolutely love this foundation for both my clients & I. It has no SPF so there’s no flashback in photos. If you have normal – dry skin this foundation is for you. I love the look of my skin when it’s applied & it doesn’t feel heavy, but really soft, smooth & satin like on my skin. It is hours before I noticed any breakdown in this foundation, I have worn this foundation up to 14 hours before with little wear. If you are on the lookout for a high end foundation, this is for you. It’s €43 in Brown Thomas.
